Morocco stumbles towards the right to information

After many years of delays, Morocco finally passed a law entrenching the right to information for its citizens. The law is, however, deeply flawed; there are harsh penalties for those who use this information in a way that ‘harms the public the interest’ or ‘distorts the content’.[1]
