On the inaugural International Day to End Impunity ARTICLE 19 and other organisations working closely on safety of journallists in east Africa have written to the President of Somalia to raise concerns about the case of Mascuud Abdulahi Aadan.
Mascuud is a correspondent for the Mogadishu based Dalsan Radio and was attacked as he returned from an assignment in Kismayu to report on a landmine attack on the Africa Union Mission in Somalia.
We call on the Somalian authorites to carry our thorough and effective investigations into the attack.
