Join us for an event to discuss the effects that the UK’s Extremism Bill could have on freedom of expression.
The Extremism Bill would outlaw vocal or active opposition to fundamental British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and the mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs. The Bill would also introduce legislation to combat groups and individuals who reject our values and promote messages of hate. The Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) in collaboration with ARTICLE 19 invite you to discuss whether such broad definitions can be reconciled with freedom of speech and expression.
