Belarus: Crackdown on freedom of expression – Part 2 - Media

We are back with our series of videos recorded by our partner organisation Journalists 4 Tolerance, looking at the situation with human rights in Belarus, following the disputed Presidential elections in Belarus. Our videos will explain the current violent crackdown on freedom of expression in the country with a particular concern on the use of force against the protests around the country and attacks on media freedom. This includes evidence of journalists and media workers being attacked, beaten, arrested or detained solely for doing their jobs.

In this video, our partner organisation Journalists 4 Tolerance interviewed this time Valentin Stefanovich, Deputy Chair of the Human Rights Center “Viasna”, to talk about the right to peacefully protest.
