Why should you trust us with your donation?

We are transparent and accountable

Here at ARTICLE 19, we hold ourselves to the same high standards that we set for others – and we take our due diligence seriously.

ARTICLE 19 is registered as a charity in the UK (registration no. 327421) and as a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales (registration no. 02097222).

This requires us to submit our audited accounts to The Charity Commission (which registers and regulates charities in England and Wales) and Companies House (which ensures UK companies comply with financial regulation) every year.

We are independently vetted

ARTICLE 19 is also registered with Candid, Global Giving, and Charity Navigator, which assess, vet, and rate non-profit organisations.

This requires ARTICLE 19 to conduct detailed reporting of our operations and strategic progress every year.

We make a real impact

Our vital work has released journalists from prison, enshrined free expression in national laws and constitutions, embedded human rights into the heart of internet infrastructure – and much, much more.

In 2024 alone, our advocacy advanced the right to know for over 175 million people.

Don’t just take it from us!

Here’s what our funders say about us…

Invest in expression today

Together, we can build the societies we want to live in.
