La revoluci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica y de los nuevos medios de comunicaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 generando grandes avances en materia econ\u00f3mica, social y pol\u00edtica.<\/p>\n<p>Creemos que la libertad de expresi\u00f3n y el acceso a medios de comunicaci\u00f3n independientes son esenciales para el desarrollo democr\u00e1tico y econ\u00f3mico. La libertad de expresi\u00f3n y los medios son v\u00edas para avanzar en materia de desarrollo humano y constituyen fines en s\u00ed mismos.<\/p>\n<p>Por consiguiente, los abajo firmantes instamos al Grupo de Trabajo Abierto a integrar plenamente en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible post-2015 propuestos las recomendaciones sobre gobernanza formuladas en el Informe del Grupo de Alto Nivel de Personas Eminentes sobre la Agenda de Desarrollo Post-2005 (<em>Una nueva alianza mundial: Erradicar la pobreza y transformar las econom\u00edas a trav\u00e9s del desarrollo sostenible<\/em>), de Naciones Unidas;
